What is an endorsement?

By taking and passing the specified course, a certified ACA Instructor can become endorsed to teach additional, specialized courses.

Who can teach an endorsement?

Any appropriately certified ACA Instructor Trainer or Instructor Trainer Educator.

Can an endorsement serve as the update portion of the instructor maintenance requirement?

Endorsements associated with your discipline and level of certification can be utilized as a one-time update opportunity.

The following endorsements to an instructor's certification are available:

• Adaptive Paddling
• Kayak Rolling
• Kayaking Traditional Skills
• River Kayaking Day Trip Leading
• Coastal Kayaking Day Trip Leading
• River Canoe Day Trip Leading
• Canoe Rolling
• Camping: River Canoe, Touring Canoe, River Kayak, Coastal Kayak
