This program and event series was born out of a desire to combine on-water recreation and stewardship into fun, community-oriented events. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped to make this pilot year a successful one so far.

CELEBRATE THE RAPP! (Fredericksburg, VA- June 9, 2012)

• 153 volunteers and on-water participants throughout the day
• 3,280 pounds of debris collected from 5 sites along the river
• Collected 2,066 cigarette butts from City Dock over the course of 45 minutes

A big thanks to our partners at the Virginia Outdoor Center; Fredericksburg SUP; Friends of the Rappahannock; Rappahannock Sierra Club; R-Board; City of Fredericksburg; and local instructors John Garman, Shawn Young, and Stefan Greene! LOVE the Lake! (Lake George, NY- July 20-21, 2012)

• 141 volunteers and on-water participants throughout the weekend
• 21 paddlers participated in stand up paddleboard races
• 10 paddlers set off for the 3rd Annual LOVE the Lake memorial paddle
• Volunteers from the Village, Fund for Lake George, Lake George WaterKeeper, ACA, and the community helped to install a native plant rain garden at Shepard Park
