The U.S. Coast Guard Office of Boating Safety is part of the Federal government and a servant of the public, in its role as the designated National Recreational Boating Safety Coordinator, it is a leader in improving the boating experience of the maritime public.  Their primary mission is to minimize the loss of life, personal injury, property damage, and environmental impact associated with the use of recreational boats, through preventive means, in order to maximize safe use and enjoyment of U.S. waterways by the public. The USCG Office of Boating Safety supports the ACA in it's endeavors to educate all paddlers about recreational boating safety.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the ACA are working together to increase educational outreach to paddlers abour boating safety as well as provide free vessel safety checks for paddlecraft.  Partnership Agreement. USCG Auxiliary
The National Safe Boating Council was organized in 1958. The role of the NSBC is to promote safe and enjoyable boating through education, training and shared resources.  The NSBC and the ACA work together yearly on a wide range of projects to imporve the recreational boating experience for all.

The National Water Safety Congress was established in 1951. The NWSC is committed to advancing the promotion of education for the safety of recreational water activities throughout the United States, and internationally, by addressing water related recreational accidents and drownings throughout the nation.  The NWSC and the ACA work together on several different initiatives each year.

The NOAA Marine Debris Program has partnered with the ACA and paddlers to begin to curb the amount of trash flowing from our nations rivers and streams into our bays and oceans.  Learn more. NOAa Marine Debris
The U.S. Geological Survey has partnered with the ACA to place Boating Safety Tips on it's National Water Information System (aka Stream Gauge pages).    USGS
The Virginia Outdoor Center has been a consistent partner with the ACA for years.  From helping to bring the ACA National Office to the city of Fredericksburg, to sponsoring and providing logistial support for a series of Virginia Canoe & Kayak Collegiate Championship races, Bill & Denise Micks along with John Garman continually volunteer to help promote paddlesports.
