Paddler Magazine Names Glen Bernard as New Publisher

<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->Paddlesport Publishing, Inc., publisher of Paddler and Paddle Dealer magazines, announce industry veteran Glen Bernard as its new publisher. Bernard, who managed Canoe & Kayak Magazine for 19 years, takes over publishing management duties for Paddlesport Publishing whose former publisher left voluntarily to pursue other business interests.

Glen stepped into the position in October 2007 and immediately began to analyze Paddler to best reflect the interests of the majority of our readership. Look for a reader survey in the January/February 2007 issue which is scheduled to be mailed January 16. Contact Glen Bernard at glen@paddlermagazine.com. ACA Announces New Director of Recreation Outreach

Nancy Lear joined ACA National Staff on January 2 as Recreation Outreach Director.  She comes to us from Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI). Prior to REI, Nancy had a varied career at the American Red Cross.  Her last position was as Manager of a Health & Safety Program & Customer Support Unit at the national headquarters, providing technical and financial assistance to nearly 2000 chapters across the country.  Among Nancy's priorities will be bolstering effective communication between and among Paddle America Clubs, focusing on ways to provide more support to Activity Committees and Affiliates.  She will also work closely with ACA's corporate partners, including Subaru of America.
