Learn how to save life and limb in a > wilderness or rural area (including the wilderness of open water!) > urban disaster zone

Course Title: Casual Hiker, Rural Living or Urban Disaster: Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Certification Course a Blue Ridge Mountain Sports-sponsored community event.

Overview: > Hands-on learn how to care for an injured / ill person during the critical minutes or hours before ambulance / hospital hand-off > Blend of classroom instruction & hands-on rescue scenario practice > 2-year SOLO WFA certification > Counts as recertification for WFR and wilderness part of W-EMT > Approved by the Boy Scouts of America and the American Camping Association >

September 10-11: Charlottesville, VA
September 17-18: Richmond, VA
October 22-23: Blacksburg, VA
