Changing Tides PaddleCraft LLC and New Haven Parks and Recreation are presenting

1st Annual Southern Connecticut Small Craft Symposium

To be held March 31st at the Wilbur Cross HS at 181 Mitchell Drive New Haven, Connecticut 06511 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5. The purpose of the event is to have fun while promoting maritime and skills, and awareness of environmental issues that affect our waterways. The event will be focusing on the manual powered vessels and the conditions and equipment that affect their safety on the water. There will be something for everyone at all skill levels from beginner who is just thinking about getting into the sport to the seasoned paddler with many years of experience. There will be informative presentation on boats, equipment, and the skills needed to venture out on the water and return safely. The on water demonstrations will be for both kayaks and canoe maneuvering and recovery skills including a rolling demonstration. The display hall will have informative information from various organizations. Door prizes will be awarded and also take a chance on the great raffle prizes.
