We offer a five day American Canoe Association Flat Water, Moving Water, and Whitewater-Certification, Level 1 through 4. You may choose to certify in flatwater, moving water, whitewater or advanced whitewater. Your knowledge and skill will determine whether you become certified in any or all levels as an ACA kayak instructor. The learning process, effective teaching techniques, demonstration, methods, equipment, clothing, and safety will be covered. Students will learn modern paddling theory including recreational and competitive techniques, strokes, maneuvers, rescue, route finding, group organization, and legal issues.

Founded in 1880, The American Canoe Association (ACA) is a national nonprofit organization serving the broader paddling public by providing education related to all aspects of paddling; stewardship support to help protect paddling environments; and sanctioning of programs and events to promote paddlesport competition, exploration and recreation.
