Coastal Kayak Open Water Training led by Dale Williams, hosted by Sea Kayak Carolina. Join Dale Williams for a day of Open Water Coastal Kayak Training - with an emphasis on sea kayak surfing. Venue, and overall flow of the day will be determined by the students and the weather. Dale pioneered sea kayak surfing in the southeast United States in the early 1990s; and is a world renown sea kayak instructor and coach. The class is limited to 5 women.

The cost per student is $125 for one day, and only $200 for both days. If you desire, you may use a high performance sea kayak as available from the demo fleet at no additional charge.

Comments from last years students:

"Dale is an excellent, inspiring, relaxed instructor and example of consumate kayak surfing skills. His off-water instruction provided good guidance and the on-water suggestions were immediately effective when accomplished properly. Also, just watching him surf was highly illustrative. If Dale were to make a detailed instructional video it would be great! Thanks for two challenging days of progress." -Chris E.

"Two long concentrated surf sessions with Dale were great because I focused on surfing, specifically boat control in the waves. Taking the time to do one concentrated thing with feedback was a great experience. Dale gives you time to work with his suggestions until you're ready to apply more information. I highly recommend this for anybody interested in surfing their sea kayaks!" -Ashley B.

Again, space is limited. Please call the shop to make your reservations today. Thanks!
