The Louisville 50 adventure race/float covers the Ohio River through Kentuckiana. Participants should be ready for any weather, wind and waves of the Ohio and have experience with currents and self-supported adventures on the River You can do the entire 50 miles or any segment you choose. Participants are responsible for having a shore team that will support you and be available for pickup during the day. Westport to West Point - Ohio River Mile 580 to 630 – 50 miles Volunteer staff will be available for check in at the following locations. The times are approximate and will be set before the race, the times will depend on the current and wind conditions. We will lock through the Portland Canal and McApline Lock and as a group. Groups will depart the Community Boat house at 12 noon, 1 pm and 2 pm. Through paddlers can portage their boats if they so choose on the Indiana side taking out above the 2nd street bridge and putting in at the Falls of the Ohio State Park.
