This is a two-day (16 hours), introductory course in wilderness search procedures and techniques. Topics include: rescuer preparedness, search management, basic backcountry medicine, navigation, use of ropes and knots, and remote evacuation. Resident fee of $270 includes meals, lodging, and the course. Day students' fee of $230 includes lunch and the course.
