North East Florida has some of the best known rough water venues in the entire state of Florida! First Coast Outfitters and Nigel Dennis Kayaks have teamed up for what is sure to be a premier instructional experience! Join Dale Williams , as well as the crew from FCO for an ACA Level 3 Coastal Kayak Instructor Certification Exam (ICE) We will be training in such venues as the " Ft. George Spit” located in the Talbot Islands, just a short drive north of Jacksonville, The St. Augustine Inlet, just south of Jacksonville Beach, and the Matanza’s inlet, just south of St. Augustine. All three venues offer a variety of conditions allowing instructor’s and coaches to build paddlers from the ground up. All of our venues are no more than an hour drive in any direction. Fundamentally, we expect that participants should have the paddling skills, technical knowledge, rescue ability, teaching ability, group management, and interpersonal skills commensurate with this level of certification prior to presenting themselves for evaluation as Instructor Candidates at an Instructor Certification Exam (ICE). Essential Eligibility Criteria: In order to participate in an Instructor Development Workshop (IDW), an Instructor Candidate must satisfy the following essential eligibility criteria: Be 18 years or older Be a current ACA member in good standing Be able to independently participate in all skills, activities and rescues listed in the appropriate ACA Certification Course Outline and Instructor Criteria documents Be able to effectively communicate with the Instructor Trainer and other course participants Be able to manage all personal care and mobility independently A little about Dale Williams: ACA Advanced Open Water ITE, BCU Coach 4 Sea One of the most highly regarded rough water Instructor/Coach’s in the world If you have any questions about this course prior to registering, please do not hesitate to contact us @: (904) 595-5976 Can’t make all 4 days?
