The race will start on the morning of Saturday, August 30th with an expected finish between

Abe's River Race will include 9 racing divisions along with open registration for recreational paddlers:

We encourage participants in this division to embrace the local cultural history and heritage of the Sangamon River. Special awards will be presented to the boat and/or team that best represents this division and the cultural heritage of the river.

There will be two starting points along the river. The racers will start from the Irwin Bridge Road boat ramp and have a course length of approximately 13 miles. There will be a second starting point at Gudgel Road bridge for the recreational paddlers. This course will be approximately 7.5 miles.
