The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) will be holding their annual Against the Tide swim, walk, run, kayak fundraising event again in 2014. The morning event consists of a competitive and recreational swim, kayak, walk, and run component, as well as an Aquathlon consisting of a competitive 1-mile swim and your choice of a competitive 5K or 10K run. Participants can choose 1, 2, 3, or 4 of the 6 events. The Cape Cod Statewide Against the Tide event will be held for the 16th year in a row at DCR's Nickerson State Park on Saturday, August 16th. This statewide event starts at 7:00am and ends at 12:00 noon. Please visit www.mbcc.org/swim or call 800-649-MBCC for more information and to register. DIRECTIONS: DCR's NICKERSON STATE PARK Park location: 3488 Main Street, Brewster 02631 From Boston: - Take Rte. 3 south to the Sagamore Bridge - Take Rte. 6 to exit 12 in Orleans - Turn left off the ramp onto Rte. 6A West towards Brewster. - Continue for about 2 miles. Park Entrance is on left.
