The New England Canoe Poling Championships will be this Saturday, April 26, 2014, starting at 10:00 AM at the Punch Brook access parking area for the Farmington River at the junction of Route 4 and Route 179 in Burlington, CT.

For GPS/Mapquest you can enter: 91 Canton Road, Burlington, CT 06013.
This is about 1.5 miles northwest on Rt. 4 of the originally advertised location.

Nelson Walker was out at Farmington River on Tuesday checking on the water and race site. The water level was great. The race will be in the rapids less than a quarter mile down from the parking area--easy to put boats in, pole down and back up, and easy walking access along paved bike path.
