More Information

The Central Jersey Stream Team is a grass roots environmental nonprofit working hard to restore Central New Jerseys waterways and surrounding land. Details of our first cleanup event can be found below. Four zones starting at: Rockafellows Mills--1.07 miles Three Bridges--1.08 miles Higginsville--1.35 miles Woodfern--1.32 miles ...finishing up at Blackpoint Road As of now our tentative meeting point for all volunteers is at our final access point at Blackpoint Road. There is ample parking and it will allow teams from any zone to finish in the same spot. We will meet at 8am for sign in and breakfast. Please remember to wear sturdy shoes, clothing you don't mind getting dirty and bug/sun spray. Feel free to bring along your favorite work gloves and any tools you like to use. We will provide breakfast, water and snacks for the day and we will also have some tools. Please let us know if you have a canoe or flat bottom boat available, we don't spend much time in the canoes ourselves but the more cargo space we have for trash and tires the better. This season we will allow for flexibility so if we have more volunteers than we anticipated and enough gear we will consider adding extra zones. For June 1st that may include an extra zone upstream or possibly the final 1 mile of the Neshanic River as it joins the South Branch at Blackpoint Road. This will allow us to get ahead a bit if conditions permit.
