If you're an L4 ACA Kayak Instructor who is interested in teaching more advanced courses, this is a 2 day L5 Certification course. In order to sit for the L5, you must have taught and reported at least 2 L4 courses and taken a swift water rescue course. The expectation is that you are an experienced instructor who exceeds the L4 standard, has solid risk management skills, and is comfortable leading on Class IV. As an L5 Kayak Instructor, the ACA is willing to insure your courses on up to and including Class IV runs. For more information, contact Dave Kessmann (dkessmann@gmail.com)
