This will be a three day instructor update focused on updating the coaching process Following is a sample itinerary Friday: The Teaching/Instructing/Coaching (T.I.C.)Process Topics Include: Long Term Paddler Development, Session Planning, Student Centered Coaching, Observation and Analysis Friday Evening: Updates from the SEIC and Coastal Kayak Committee Saturday: L2-L4 on-water sessions with a focus on using the environment, teaching for meaning, contextualizing coastal skills Sunday: L2-L4 on-water sessions with a focus on using the ACA Level Skills Assessments as content, facilitating a performance assessment.
