The ACA Instructor Certification program polishes the paddling and teaching skills of already-competent paddlers aspiring to become instructors or trip leaders. Certification is based upon successful demonstration of technical competency and teaching skills. This Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) will allow aspiring instructors to experience the ACA curriculum and work on their own teaching techniques. Combined with additional personal experience and expertise in coastal kayak instruction, this workshop will help to prepare students for the ACA Level 4 Open Water Coastal Kayaking Instructor Certification Exam (ICE) being held later this year.
