This workshop covers three days of classroom and on water lessons around the Tybee Island area. Improve your teaching ability and paddling skills. Available for the experienced paddler hoping to become a sea kayak instructor. During the 3 day Coastal Kayaking Instructor Development Workshop, a great deal of information is presented on topics such as concepts of paddling, teaching and learning styles, risk and safety management. Information will not only be presented by instructor trainers, but also by fellow candidates. There is a some prior homework and study required. These courses are not recommended for those new to the sport. We recommend Instructor candidates come with a wide range of prior paddling technique, instruction, and previous teaching experience.
