This is a three day ACA SUP Level 1 and 2 Instructor Certification Workshop. The workshop is designed to prepare aspiring students to become ACA certified SUP instructors. This course will be taught by L2 SUP Instructor Trainer Educator Josh Hall and L3 SUP Instructor Jim Bernard. Students should arrive at the course with significant personal paddling experience and should own and have read the ACA’s Instructor’s Manual (available on the ACA website). Students aspiring to be certified as SUP instructors will need to have current certifications in both CPR and First Aid. Goals for this course include: -to become familiar with current educational theory as it applies to paddle instruction -to develop personal paddling skills -to develop teaching and coaching skills -to develop safe group management techniques -to become familiar with ACA procedures for certified instructors Cost is $375.
