The ACA Instructor Certification program polishes the paddling and teaching skills of already-competent paddlers aspiring to become instructors or trip leaders. Certification is based upon successful demonstration of technical competency and teaching skills. For more information, visit www.americancanoe.org.

This workshop (IDW) with the certification exam (ICE) is for the ACA's L-1 Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Instructor. This certification is for those teaching students in areas of calm, flat water, protected from wind, waves and outside boat traffic. It emphasizes safety, efficiency, and self-reliance for those traveling by SUP in controlled conditions.

Participants must be a current member of the ACA and have an ACA number and ACA Instructor Manual by the start of your course.
