For those looking to get some experience and expand their skills with navigation, tidal currents and surf, we have something cooked up that you’re going to love! We all talk about getting more experience in rough water to gain comfort in it, but those opportunities just don’t present themselves often enough without the dread of very cold water. Our answer to that is a skills course in the sunny south - Tybee Island, Georgia!

We’ve rented a great big ole' classic Tybee house with Cypress floors and huge open porches, outdoor showers and good proximity to sheltered launches on the Back River as a comfortable base for this skills workshop. From here we can work navigation exercises in the tidal creeks around Little Tybee, play in the surf breaks on the Triangle, practice rescues in the Zipper.

This is a great chance to gain some solid on-water skills from some very solid instructors. Michael Gray is an ACA Level 4 instructor, L-3 Instructor Trainer. Oh… some of you know that Michael is a pretty darn good cook. You can count on being very well fed!
