This Level 1 Certification Workshop is focused on preparing instructors to introduce entry level participants to the sport of kayaking. We will emphasize fun, safety and basic skills that will enable beginners to have an enjoyable and productive first experience in a kayak. All of the skills and concepts that we cover in this Level 1 Class, will lay the foundation for more advanced skills and progressions. This Class will take place on calm, flat water and is appropriate for all kayak craft, including traditional decked kayaks, inflatables and sit on tops. It is expected that the boats will be paddled solo.
