L2 Essentials of River Kayaking

The ACA Essentials of River Kayaking Instructor Candidate Workshop is an intensive three-day program designed to prepare you to lead safe, fun, and effective programs.

PREREQUISITE: Students must be competent paddlers in Level 1 and 2 river conditions. This program is not intended to teach paddling skills but instead is designed to teach competent paddlers techniques to manage groups of new paddlers and develop their skills, knowledge, and abilities. Candidates should review the Level 1 and Level 2 assessment criteria and should be proficient in these skills before taking this course.

Register online:

Early bird registration: $320 (if registered by May 16)
Regular pricing: $340 (after May 16)

Participants will need to bring their own boat, paddle, PFD, snacks, lunch, and all personal items. Instructors will contact participants prior to the event with study materials and special instructions or equipment needs.
