The 2016 Delaware River Sojourn is an eight-day guided paddling trip on the wild and scenic Delaware River, combining canoeing/kayaking, camping, educational programs, historical interpretation, and more. It is for novice to experienced paddlers of all ages; participants can sign up for the whole event or for the section(s) or day(s) of their choice.
This year's theme is Find Your River: Celebrating 100 Years of the National Park Service. Programming will highlight this centennial milestone and the various National Park entities that are a part of the Delaware River Basin.
The purpose of the Sojourn is to heighten awareness of and appreciation for the Delaware River and its watershed, which flows for 330 miles through New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. By getting people out on the river, the important lessons of conservation and stewardship are experienced first-hand.
Join the Delaware River Sojourn, which celebrates family, friends, and the great outdoors! Come out and paddle the Delaware River, the longest un-dammed river east of the Mississippi.
