A great start for new kayakers, or people with just a little kayaking experience. We will cover handling your kayak on shore, entering and exiting the kayak, forward stroke, basic turns, stopping, going backwards, moving sideways, and keeping a kayak stable. Most of all, we will have fun! Mike Cavanaugh & Alan Mapes are ACA Certified Instructors and have conducted training programs for our Meetup group for the past 3 seasons.
