Join members of the local community on Saturday, June 25th, 2016 as we spend an afternoon removing trash from the Saranac River, beginning near the Lake Flower Dam and continuing downstream. Local outfitters St. Regis Canoe Outfitters and Adirondack Lakes and Trails Outfitters as well as the Northern Forest Canoe Trail will provide canoes, trash bags, and other necessary items throughout the event. Volunteers should arrive at the Saranac Lake Village parking lot on Dorsey Street at 1:00 PM and plan to be off the river no later than 5:00 PM. A BBQ will follow the event, with support from other local businesses and community organizations. We request that anyone interested please sign up in advance. For more information or to sign up as a volunteer, please contact Tyler Merriam at 518-891-1838 or tmerriam@canoeoutfitters.com.
