This ACA Level 1/2 SUP Instructor Certification Workshop (ICW) will help you develop the refined skill and understanding to teach others to standup paddle safely & effectively. This intensive three-day course is a fast paced workshop designed to familiarize you with the processes and curriculum of the American Canoe Association including teaching theory, learning theory, leadership, paddling concepts, trip planning & much more. This course is suited for those that teach SUP now, plan to teach in the future or just want the training. Candidates taking this course should arrive with fundamental standup paddling skills & experience. During the 3-days we'll focus on technical skills - strokes, maneuvers, paddling theory, what to teach & how to teach it, teaching theory, group management, leadership and much more.
