Ready to get certified as a Paddleboard instructor? We're ready to help make it happen!

Come train with IT Todd Bishop at this ACA Level 1/Level 2 SUP Instructor Development Workshop & Instructor Certification Exam (Instructor Certification Workshop) in Dayton, OH. This intensive course is for experienced SUP paddlers seeking to acquire the training and certification needed to teach students, classes, & guide tours. Over 3 days we will develop & assess technical skills, knowledge, & teaching abilities. Join us on Blue Lake in Dayton Ohio, the birthplace of Orville Wright.

This course encompasses a great deal of information from Strokes & Maneuvers, Teaching & Learning theory to professional standards. We will also cover group management & rescues, board design/construction, and repair 

It's great for paddlers who:
Teach classes
Would like to teach SUP courses
Guide tours
Have experience teaching and paddling
Program directors
or Enthusiasts.

Cost: L1/L2 $450 pp (3 days)
L1 $350 pp (2 days)
L2 $350 pp (2 days)

*Each Instructor Candidate gets a floaty truckers cap, decals, water bottle holder and mini solar resin repair kit.

*You'll need a SUP, paddle, and a USCG approved PFD (each can be provided upon request)

Prerequisites: Previous SUP experience, 18 years of age or older, First aid & CPR certification, ACA annual membership. Fee does not include ACA instructor’s manual or SEIC dues.

We will also have a L1/L2 skills course the day before (Sept. 14th). Check the calendar. The skills course is included (no charge) for those attending this ICW.
