This is a 2 day Level 1 Standup Paddleboard Instructor Development Workshop/Instructor Certification Exam (ICW) for competent SUP paddlers who want to become ACA certified instructors. This will be a fun but intensive 2 days discussing and putting into practice all topics on the ACA L1 Instructor Criteria outline. The overall focus of this course is to develop effective SUP instructors. Candidates will get the most out of this course if they arrive familiar and competent with all the strokes and maneuvers listed in the SUP instructor criteria and are ready develop the teaching and coaching skills necessary to teach stand up paddling to others. Topics covered will include: -Personal paddling development -ACA paperwork and history -Learning Theory -Teaching Theory -Group Safety and Management
