Waivers:
Water Levels:
  • Based off of the color coded gauge just downstream of the VOC:
    • If the river level is in the 'Green', the race will take place on the whitewater sections as planned
    • If the river level is in the 'Yellow'  (approximately 3.5 or 3.6 feet on the USGS gauge) the race will not take place on the whitewater section from Mott's Run down to Old Mill Park.  The race might be moved to the moving water section from Old Mill Park down to either City Dock or Little Falls
    • All racers who have registered online will receive an email update if the race location is changed due to water levels.  This webpage will also be updated
Cancellation & Venue Change:
  • If a registration cancellation is necessary for one or more races, payment, less a $10.00 administrative fee, is refundable if written notice is received prior to May 30th. No refund will be made for cancellations received after May 30th, except when caused by serious personal illness; in this case, the loss will be shared equally.
  • In the event that the Rappahannock River is running at a high level, the races will either be moved to another section of the river which might not contain any whitewater, or the race might be cancelled.  There will be no rain date.  In the event of a cancellation, registration funds will be refunded upon written request.
  • If the race must be relocated to another section of river or cancelled, this webpage will be updated and an email will be sent to those who have registered online.
