WHO: Sea kayakers who would like to pursue ACA Level 4 Open Water Coastal Kayak instructor certification, or who would simply like to pursue a broad assessment of their personal skills and technical knowledge in ACA Level 4 conditions will benefit from this course. Successful outcome of a Level 4 skills assessment is a prerequisite to pursuit of ACA Level 4 Open Water Coastal Kayak instructor training. Participants who are ACA members and successfully pass the skills assessment will have this accomplishment recorded with the ACA. The assessment will be performed by Jennifer Yearley. WHAT: The course will consist of a broad assessment of personal skills and technical knowledge. Conditions required for the ACA Level 4 Open Water Coastal Kayaking, as well as specific content to be reviewed and assessed, can be found at the following link: http://c.ymcdn.com/sites/www.americancanoe.org/resource/resmgr/SEI-Courses/L4_OWCK_Assessment.pdf.
