Competition Council Committees - Nominations
Share |

If you are a current ACA member (in any membership category) and are interested in making a positive difference in competitive paddlesports in the United States, please consider self-nominating below to the appropriate Competition Council Committee or self-nominating as an At-Large Representative to the ACA's Competition Council itself.

As part of the ACA becoming the National Governing Body (NGB) for Olympic and Paralympic paddlesports, and being recognized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF) for their non-Olympic paddlesport disciplines, the ACA, through this Committee and Council structure, augmented by the National Office Staff is committed to developing and promoting athletic competition in paddlesports at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

For additional information about serving, including the history of this transition, as well as the Competition Council's Operating Procedures that govern the Council and each of the individual Competition Committees please visit: www.americancanoe.org/CompetitionCouncil

If you have additional questions, please contact the ACA's Director of High Performance & Competition, Morgan House.

If you are interested in serving, please complete the self-nomination form below by January 19th:

If you selected Slalom, Sprint or Paracanoe above, please select which of the sub-Committees you would prefer to serve on under your respective discipline. Note: the Chair of each sub-committee has a voting position on the Slalom, Sprint or Paracanoe Committee. For example, if there are 10 Slalom Club Presidents, then the Chair of that sub-Committee will be on the Slalom Committee. The Chair of the Slalom Events sub-Committee would have a voting position on the Slalom Committee. The Slalom At-Large and Athlete Representatives would also be on the Slalom Committee, aka there are no sub-committees for At-Large and Athlete Representatives.

Why are you interested in running for an ACA Competition Council Committee? This answer, along with your biography will be posted online during the election/voting phase of this process.
