Becoming an Instructor

 
Teaching others to paddle is one of the most rewarding experiences a paddler can have. The American Canoe Association offers Instructor certification in the following:

• Intro To Canoe
• Intro To Kayak
• River Canoe
• Canoe Touring
• River Kayak
• Coastal (Sea) Kayak
• Rafting
• Safety & Rescue and Surf Kayak

Each different Instructor program track offers Instructor certification at progressive levels based on an individual candidate's personal skills and teaching ability. From the community volunteer who loves to paddle the local pond to the whitewater professional boater, the ACA offers a certification to meet the needs of the paddling public.
