Welcome to the Surf Zone! This class is an introduction to playing and paddling in the surf zone. The aim to help paddlers to become more confident, competent, and relaxed in the dynamic conditions in and around the surf. Taking advantage of what is on offer that day we will expose participants to a variety of moving water conditions and using these conditions to refine existing skills as well as introduce some new ones. Among the the skills we may work on are reading water conditions, launch and landing, holding position, side surfing, bracing, wave dynamics, and surf zone safety and etiquette. And of course will review open water assisted and self reentries. Please join us for the fun.
