ACA Level 4: Open Water Coastal Kayak Instructor Certification Workshop & Update
San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate and the Marin Headlands are perfect locations for open water coastal kayaking with strong tidal currents, powerful swells and changeable weather conditions providing an abundance of learning opportunities and easy access to Level 4 conditions.


Sean Morley and Jennifer Yearley invite you to participate in a comprehensive, informative and challenging four days of instructor development that will reinvigorate your teaching, broaden your coaching abilities and help you prepare for certification.

WHO: This course is for existing Level 3 Coastal Kayak Instructors preparing to upgrade to Level 4. You may take this course as an Instructor Certification Workshop (ICW) OR as an Update if you are already an L4: OWCK Instructor. Please check the ACA Instructor Criteria to be sure that you are eligible.

WHAT: This course is an Instructor Development Workshop OR Certification Exam OR Update. Please let us know when making your booking which of these you need so that we can prepare you accordingly.

WHEN: 8.30 AM Friday, February 1st through 5.00 PM Monday, February 4th, 2019

NOTE: Closing date for registration for this course is Friday, January 25th, 2019

WHERE: Presidio Yacht Club (Travis Marina), Sausalito, CA

COST: $499 (Minimum enrollment: 3, Maximum enrollment: 8)

Please note: Cost does not include kayak and gear rental. In partnership with Performance Paddlesports, we have a fleet of Valley Sea Kayaks available for candidates flying to the Bay Area for our instructor development programs. Kayaks must be reserved well in advance. Please CONTACT us if you wish to reserve a demo kayak or are planning to use your own kayak and are unsure about the suitability of your kayak.
