This is an intensive scenario based Level IV Swiftwater Rescue Course and accompanying Wilderness First Aid Course taught in and around the Penobscot River and Big Eddy Campground. Participants will camp at the Chewonki Foundation's Big Eddy Campground. Course begins Sunday evening August 11 at 1800 and includes evening sessions, and a group dinner on Thursday. Course ends at 1700 on Friday afternoon August 16. Email for more information. To register, go to or complete the "contact us" form at to request registration materials. This is an intensive course and participants should have a foundation understanding of hydrology, some paddling experience, and arrive fit and motivated to get the most out of the instruction and skills evolutions.
