ACA Instructor Updates & Endorsements in Central Texas Venues
January 18-19-20, 2020

See detail and updated info at https://rivercoast.com/event/aca-texas-instructor-update/

ACA Instructor Updates are required every four years and are offered to currently certified instructors with up-to-date ACA and SEIC membership dues and course reporting. We also want to attract potential instructors and other paddlesport leaders. RiverCoast values courses that are meaningful and fun and allows instructors to continue learning and improving to enhance their knowledge and skills for themselves and their students’ enjoyment. Austin’s nearby Rainey Street District also offers a after hours food and social interactions.

Description:
This multi-disciplinary event meets at Holiday Inn - Town Lake for classroom, pool, and lake work (https://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels/us/en/austin/austl/hoteldetail) with travel to other venues (e.g., Rio Vista for Level 3 River on day 2 and/or 3 (https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/1830/). The event includes combined classroom sessions with specific updates and endorsements (limited by demand and space available). Course offerings and staff are subject to changes. See attachment for updates and Instructor Trainer and assisting staff biographies (pending).

On-the-water (with some classroom) sessions include required (for current instructors seeking to update - based on level) and optional sessions. Other sessions are available for instructor enrichment and for non-instructors who are considering becoming instructors or trip leaders. National level ITEs including Kent Ford and local ITs will be leading sessions. A detailed itinerary will be available at this site soon.

Course Registration: Click event calendar at  https://rivercoast.com/event/aca-texas-instructor-update/ to RSVP (confirmed by paying through PayPal).
