This two-day instructor update program fulfills the continuing education component of the American Canoe Association's four year certification maintenance requirements for L3 and L4 Coastal Kayak instructors.

In this program, instructors will gather to review changes to ACA procedures and policies, current best practices in paddlesports education, and, most importantly: paddle!

Expect to be asked to experiment with new techniques, try unorthodox approaches, and spend a lot of time on the water. If conditions allow, we will work on rough water skills. If Neptune gives us flat, we'll fine tune our boat handling and teaching methodology. Either way, you can expect to learn a great deal from both your Instructor Trainer and fellow ACA instructors.
