Want to learn the fundamentals of paddling in a whitewater kayak? Essentials of Whitewater Kayak is designed to introduce paddlers to whitewater kayaks and basic paddling strokes/maneuvers in modern whitewater boats. We’ll spend the first part of the day learning about the boats, and practicing basics strokes on flatwater. The second part of the day will introduce rolling and performing eddy turns and peel outs as we run class 1-2 whitewater.
