A historical interpretation of the surrounding cities on three rivers in Western Pennsylvania: the Allegheny, Kiskiminetas, and the Conemaugh. We paddle these waterways and have speakers and tours along the way to point out various interesting sites and the awesome job they have done in the clean up efforts of the acid mine drainage. We also have presentations at camp and at some of our stops along the waters. All meals are provided (you will NOT go away hungry!), we have have an auction of new and gently used "stuff" and we have our "coveted" Broken Paddle Award. Our heads of safety, Bob and his lovely life Elaine Mravetz, lead a river refresher course on Thursday from 3-6 for any guest registered for the whole weekend sojourn. The will guide you through the waters with grace and fluidity. If anyone brings an instrument, we have sing alongs around the campfire (if anyone is UP for it!).
