OLER 240-001 Expedition Raft Class 3 Credit Instructor: Limit 15 Start Date: 5/12 Lab Fee $150.00 End Date: 5/26 Location: Southwest River The Expedition Rafting course is focused on planning all aspects of a multi-day rafting expedition. Student will learn to travel safely and efficiently by Whitewater Raft. Topics including boat control and efficient rowing, raft maneuvers, equipment, loading, expedition planning and behavior, wilderness ethics, LNT and rescues will be covered. The entire class will be held during a rafting expedition on one of the beautiful and dynamic rivers of the southwest depending on water levels. Graduates of this course should be capable of planning and rowing a multi-day raft trip. Course meets in classroom on Monday May 12 8 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Overnight Expedition: Tuesday May 20 through Monday May 26. Lab fee of $150.00 covers transportation, food while on overnight, permit fees and equipment.
