Join us for a day of fun on both land and water trails at Dedham Trails Day on Saturday, June 13th from 9:00am-12:00pm at the Dolan Recreation Center, 269 Common Street in Dedham. The event is free and open to the public and includes a new adventure Tri-Race, a 5K trail run as well as kayak, paddleboard and canoe demos on the Charles River courtesy of L.L. Bean’s Dedham store.

The new Dedham Trails Adventure Tri Race takes off at 9:00am on the trails of the NewBridge on the Charles campus, 8000 Great Meadow Rd, Dedham. The course includes trail running as well as paddling a kayak or paddleboard on the Charles River. The 5K Trail Run also on the NewBridge on the Charles campus begins at 9:30am.

Family oriented environmental education will be available as well as games and giveaways, including the L.L. Bean Bootmobile. A delicious assortment of local fresh and organic foods will be served up by generous local sponsors and business partners from Legacy Place in Dedham including Shake Shack, Whole Foods, Costco and Kings.

The Dedham Water Trail on the Charles River was designated a National Recreational Trail site in 2014 as part of a system of trails and greenways on water and over land, combining nature, wildlife, outdoor activity and history. The Dedham Trails land trail network connects the Dolan Recreation Complex with Whitcomb Woods, Wilson Mountain and NewBridge on the Charles’ trail network. The trails are open to runners and walkers for public use during daylight hours.
