Join us for a weekend clean-up of Fossil Creek! We are kicking off the fall/ winter paddling season with a subject near and dear to us... protecting Fossil Creek and the surrounding Wild and Scenic area! Join us for the weekend to celebrate a one of a kind waterway, and show the community what us paddlers can do! We thought about making it just one day, but we love that area so much that we're going to spend the whole weekend there! Come one day or join us for both and camping out under the stars. We are meeting up at the Waterfall Trail Parking area at 10am on Saturday and Sunday, and will divide up forces where we need you! If you want to paddle Fossil Creek (we advise having run this stretch before and being a competent whitewater paddler comfortable with short drops and a solid combat roll), we will run at 10am, then float down and join the clean-up efforts. Saturday: Meet at 10am at the Waterfall Parking Area, we'll clean-up as long as needed! Sunday: meet at 10am at the Waterfall Parking Area, we'll clean-up as long as needed! Please Bring: Comfortable clothing, including close-toed footwear adequate for the trail Water and Lunch/ Snacks Gloves (if you have 'em) Buckets and/or shovel Friends and Family! Camping: We will announce our camp spot as it gets closer to the event, once we know how many are planning to join us. This is a primitive camp opportunity, and you must provide your own gear/ food. We'll supply the campfire and s'mores!
