This course is designed for the beginner, no experience necessary. You may select either solo or tandem lessons. Class will begin at the Philadelphia Canoe Club, 4900 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia. We will travel as a group to Harrisville Lake in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. This two-day class will cover proper equipment, clothing, safety, strokes, maneuvers and boat control. You will progress from basic instruction on the lake to easy moving water on day 2. Cost: $150 adults, $75 minors. If you register by April 30 you will receive a 20% discount.
