Calling all Northeast ACA Members, Instructors, Family, and Friends!

On behalf of the New York State Director and Executive Council, we would like to invite you to the first inaugural ACA Northeast Paddler's Rendezvous, to be held May 20-22, 2016 in conjunction with the popular Black-Moose Kayak Event! This event will be hosted in Lyons Falls, NY near the confluence of the Black and Moose Rivers. This area boasts spectacular scenery with a wide variety of paddling venues to choose from. This event is family friendly with affordable camping and hotel lodging options nearby.

Paddling for everyone in Lyons Falls at this year's Black-Moose Kayak Event! We are combining the event this year with the first annual ACA-NY Paddler's Rendezvous - all ACA members, instructors and families and friends from NY, PA and NE states are invited (and anyone else interested in paddling!). We have the best paddling in the world with beautiful rivers for coastal, SUP, recreational and, of course, whitewater! Fishing - from your kayak, boat or from shore, hiking, ATV'ing.....Lyons Falls has it all and is a gateway to the Adirondacks! Camping is available or local hotels and B&B's, too - fun for everyone and paddling galore!

Lodging: Camping at Riverside Park, Laura St, Lyons Falls - register at the event starting Friday, May 20th. First come basis and limited space, $10 per vehicle for the entire weekend. Bathrooms, water and trash recepticles; friendly, leashed dogs welcome (please clean up after your pet); campfires ONLY ON RAISED FIRE PANS. Local hotels also available - check out The Edge Hotel, Lyons Falls - discount for event participants.

Food: There will be a family dinner offered Saturday night, cheap and good! Local restaurants, too.

Entertainment: Local band and bonfire Saturday night!

Paddling: River access at the confluence of the Black and Moose rivers right across from the park for recreational, SUP and coastal paddlers. Lakes and rivers galore surround Lyons Falls for more adventure, and world-class whitewater on the Bottom Moose a short drive up the road for EXPERIENCED whitewater paddlers only.

This event is being supported by many local businesses and organizations including the Mountainman Outdoor Center, which will be hosting a Paddlefest in congruence with this ACA event. There will be alternative activities such as hiking and fishing available for attendees who are interested in non-paddling options.
