As recreational paddlers, instructors, and trip leaders, it is important that we take the time to recognize and become more thoughtful about inclusion, accessibility, and providing reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities in public programming.

This 2-day American Canoe Association Adaptive Paddling Workshop (APW) is open to current ACA instructors who are seeking to obtain their ACA Adaptive Endorsement AND paddlers with disabilities.

For Endorsement Candidates: 2-full days (classroom and pool) learning about adaptive kayaking, person-first terminology, the ADA, adaptive equipment, transfers/carries, etc.

For paddlers with disabilities: 1 day in the pool working with ACA Endorsement candidates and progressing through a Level 1 kayaking course.
