This year the Lackawanna River Conservation Association is in its 30th year! RiverFest 2017, the flagship fundraising effort of the LRCA, supports conservation, protection, and restoration of the Lackawanna River watershed. RiverFest 2017 will take place on Saturday, May 13. This regional rite-of-spring event in Northeast Pennsylvania includes Canoe-A-Thon, Duck-A-Thon, Regatta, paddling demonstrations, music, food, crafts, and fun for the whole family outdoors along the banks of the Lackawanna River. Each year about 200 paddlers participate in the events and almost 500 people celebrate afterwards at the finish line, which is Sweeney's Beach; the LRCA's latest greenway/environmental restoration project. Join us for fun, music, food, beverages, games, and education!
