GRWCR Youth Race

The Youth Race is a short, free and fun kayak and SUP race that occurs on the first Saturday in June each year in conjunction with the Great Rappahannock Whitewater Canoe Race (GRWCR).

Competitors:
  • All Youth are welcome!
Race Course:
  • Rappahannock River
  • Distance: 100 yards along the bank at Old Mill Park

Age Classes for Boys & Girls

Logistics:

  • Kayaks and SUPs are provided courtesy of the ACA and Virginia Outdoor Center
    • Or, you can bring your own kayak or SUP
  • The Fredericksburg Fire Department's River Rescue Team will provide safety
  • Youth must register (no cost) online or on-site
  • Waivers must be signed

Registration

  • Online registration is now open
  • On site registration: before 3pm on June 2nd

2018 Information:

  • Race Date: Saturday, June 2, 2018
  • Location: Old Mill Park, Fredericksburg, VA
  • On-site Registration: before 3pm
  • Racer Meeting: 3:30pm
  • Race Starts: 4:00pm
