U.S. kayakers qualify for Paralympics!

DUISBURG, GERMANY - Team USA turned in a strong performance on the final day of competition at the 2016 ICF Paracanoe World Championships, qualifying two athletes for the 2016 Paralympic Games and winning two medals. 

Alana Nichols, the first American woman to win gold medals in both the winter and summer Paralympics, booked her ticket to Rio when she finished 8th in the KL2 Women's 200m Final. Qualifying for her first U.S. Paralympic Team was Kelly Allen who earn a spot on the team with her 8th place finish in the KL3 Women's 200m Final. 

Meanwhile, in the non-Paralympic events, Ann Yoshida was crowned World Champion after winning the final of the VL1 Women's 200m event. Anja Pierce made a strong push in the VL3 Women's 200m Final, finishing 3rd and earning a bronze medal.
